PERSONNEL AND INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS
|
To assist in the attainment of the
goals and objectives of the Point Fortin Corporation by providing a
range of services that seek to develop and maintain a quality
workforce and a stable industrial relations climate.
The prudent management of and
efficient accounting for the revenue allocated to and collected by
the Corporation.
Assessment of all rateable
hereditaments within the borough, the accurate, equitable and
effective collection of House Rates and Taxes and the accountability
for same.
Protect and improve the public health
of the burgesses of the Borough by the provision of environmental
health services commensurate with transforming Point Fortin into a
total urban area.
To make an independent appraisal of
the activities within the organization. To review the operations by
measuring, evaluating and reporting the effectiveness of systems,
and controls as a service to the Point Fortin Corporation.
The Building's Department is charged
with the responsibility of dealing with Building Applications and
recommending to Council, those applications having met the
requirements of the Building Regulations, Sch IV of Act 12 of 1980
for approval.
To plan, build and maintain
infrastructural works in the development of a modern, safe and
aesthetically pleasing community.
The role of a borough Police Officer
is primarily to protect the property of the Corporation and to be of
service to the Burgesses of the Borough of Point Fortin and the
Nation as a whole. The Borough Police Officers discharge a dual
function and they have the same powers and are subject to immunity
as that of the Trinidad and Tobago Service.
