The Point Fortin Chamber of Industry
and Commerce
The Point Fortin Chamber of Industry
and Commerce is a voluntary business
organization dedicated to advancing the
commercial, industrial and
civic
interests of Point Fortin and
its
environs. The Chamber is committed to
uniting
business and professional
entities
of the area and will provide a
forum for
improving economic activity and
enhancing the quality of life in the
Southwest
Peninsula.
Over the years various organizations and
bodies have sought to represent the business
interests of Point Fortin and its environs
either directly or through affiliations with
other regional and national bodies.
Our closest links have traditionally been
with the South Trinidad Chamber of
Industry and Commerce with whom we have
interacted informally from time to time,
mainly through individual membership
The milestone achieved today, the
formation of the Point Fortin Chamber of
Industry and
Commerce, reflects the
commitment and
determination of the Point
Fortin business
community to come together
to help the
future in which we all have a
stake.
Credit is due in no small measure to the
management of the
First National Credit
Union whose
vision and belief that the time
was right has led
to this successful launch.
Throughout the
year 1999, the First
National Credit
Union funded the cost of all planning meetings as
well as the legal costs
incurred in
incorporation of the Chamber
